Round Table on Development of Transportation and Logistics in Central Asia and Afghanistan


Round Table on development of transportation and logistics in Central Asia and Afghanistan will be held on December 3 in Tashkent. The event is organized by the Agro Information Innovation Center of Uzbekistan in partnership with the USAID Regional Economic Cooperation (REC) Project.
More than thirty representatives of transportation-logistics companies, international organizations and business associations will take part in the work of the Round Table. They will discuss issues related to the delivery of goods from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan and to the Customs Union countries, from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan; analysis of freight delivery by rail road; transportation and logistical support in Afghanistan; monitoring of efficiency of transportation corridors; competitiveness of transportation routes to/from  Afghanistan, etc.
Viktor Prodedovich, Chief of Party of the REC Project, notes: “We hope that participation in the Round Table will help entrepreneurs identify optimal routes for freight delivery, as well as to establish business contacts with freight carriers in Central Asia and Afghanistan”.
