USAID FACILITATES TRADE THROUGH PUBLIC-PRIVATE DIALOGUE

24.08.2015

More than forty experts representing the Uzbekistan Small Businesses’ and Private Entrepreneurship’s Export Promotion Fund, Uzbek ministries and state agencies, international organizations, businesses and business associations will gather together on August 25, 2015 in Tashkent to take part in a workshop entitled “Facilitation of Export Trough Public Private Partnership”.

In line with its strategy, USAID is committed to develop diverse and competitive trade and markets in Central Asia.  USAID seizes opportunities to facilitate trade in the region through promoting public-private dialogue, where appropriate. Effective dialogue between government and private trade organizations should be a two-way symmetrical communication. To facilitate trade in the region both parties of the dialogue should listen to each other and seek opportunities to enter into partnerships.

Workshop participants will share best international practices and discuss mechanisms of public private partnerships appropriate for trade facilitation, including in transportation and logistics, “Single window”, e-government, certification, standardization, free-economic zones, etc.
