Kazakhstan continues cooperation with U.S. companies
ASTANA. April 3. KAZINFORM As Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a reception on the 20th jubilee of Tengizchevroil project on Wednesday, Kazakhstan will continue to cooperate with the U.S. companies. "Our joint work with Chevron continues, new goals are ahead - further development of Tengizchevroil, increase in crude oil output and $7.5 billion investments into the oil sector," he noted. Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that it was very important for him as the first President of the country to show that Chevron could work in Kazakhstan, be successful.
"Currently there are about 8 500 foreign companies operating in Kazakhstan. Nearly $200 billion has been invested into our country, but Chevron was the first. Thanks to cooperation with Chevron, Kazakhstan has built good relations with the U.S. and other American companies that work here today," the President added.
