Kazakhstan President and U.S. Deputy Secretary of State discussed prospects for deepening strategic partnership


Astana. April 26. INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN - Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed the key aspects of the expansion and deepening of the multidisciplinary strategic partnership with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns in Almaty on Friday, said the press office of the head of state.
According to the press office, the parties discussed the prospects for economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. President Nazarbayev noted that Kazakhstan was interested in the social and economic reconstruction of Afghanistan and spoke about the ongoing projects in Kazakhstan, said the press office. Kazakhstan President expressed condolences once again over the terrorist attack in Boston. William Burns passed on U.S. President Barack Obama’s regards to Nursultan Nazarbayev.
